Greetings sponsors!! Welcome to our new system for updating you on school happenings. We appreciate all your support. We are also excited to implement our new website.

In April, students in third grade and 6th grade took the Liberian standardized test. The 6th grade had to travel to a distant village for testing. This mandated an overnight stay. Our principal, two teachers and a parent chaperoned this event. We will get results sometime in July. I’m very excited to see how we do compared to the other Liberian schools. Below are the 6th grade and Gabriel Teamah, the principal.

The rainy season has started. Our custodian, Rhoda, is wearing rain gear so she can remain dry during the torrential rain. This video is an example of rain Liberia gets a couple times a week in May. In July, August and September it is daily. The roads wash out, and it is difficult for teachers and staff to get back and forth from Gbarnga to Denta.

Our new office manager, Andrew, will be training teachers how to use google docs and spreadsheets this month. They will practice entering information for the interventions they are developing for struggling students. They are all working in groups to create a google doc to share with me!

Spiritual Emphasis Week happened this month. Unfortunately, Pastor Matthew got Malaria, and he was not able to baptize the children that accepted Christ. He will be with them on May 26. Let’s pray for their complete understanding of the decision they have made.

Using this website has been a learning curve. I pray that I will get better at adding posts!
