July 19, 2026 – End of school year

Sponsors of Fairview Missionary School,

Thank you for supporting another wonderful school year. This has actually been the best year since I have started working for this ministry. With 13 new teachers and a new principal, the Lord shined his Glory down on the school and unity happened. School business was discussed each week with all the department heads and myself. This allowed us to help each other fix anything that was a concern, move forward with discussed plans and develop the growth of our teachers, students and our campus. It is cultural in Liberia for the kindergarten to have a graduation to 1st grade. It is also the same tradition for the 6th grade to celebrate their achievement to 7th. So, these two groups of students were recognized with some awards and gifts. Their last day of school was July 10.

This year we will be offering a summer school for students that struggled in reading or math. This will be a 4 week session. If these students pass summer school they will move on to the next grade level, and if they do not pass, they will be retained in the same grade. Let’s pray they are successful!

There was also a performance about Daniel overcoming the lions because of his steep faith in the Lord. Sandi Hullinger worked with our Action Bible teacher, Samuel Tuwleh, to orchestrate this show.

After all students and parents went home, the staff were honored with a certificate for their dedication to this mission and ministry.

The Director of Operations shaking the hand of each staff member. Above is security, James Kollie and below is our Head Cook, Lorpu Yarl. In fact, Joan would like your next letter in August to be written as a prayer to a staff member. We have 5 cooks, 1 custodian, 1 physicians assistant, 6 security, 22 teachers, office/mentor assistant, office manager, child sponsorship/mentor, vice principal, principal, director of ministry and director of operations. Yes! You have many options! Joan will be orchestrating a system at church in the foyer for each one to get a prayer. Stay tuned!!

We are preparing for the 26/27 school year. We are going to transition to Liberian Curriculum materials for this year to see if we can cover all material. The Lamp and Light Curriculum is too much for our school year.

We are finally finishing the floors in the main building. It was pretty dusty when we were visiting in dry season, and I said this must be done. Thank you Fairview Missionary Church for your generosity in supporting our projects. We are also building a multi purpose room with a stage. This will host our library and teacher materials. Ground clearing has already happened.

Your generosity has been amazing, and we are moving into another school year with the Lord leading the way. Keep Liberia in your prayers for sustainability and independence. Thank you.

In His Service,

Tracey Newell
